Black Male Initiative Georgia (BMI) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit that is recapturing and reshifting the narrative about Black Men. Our organization represents a collective of community leaders, elected officials, fathers, and diverse ideologies of what it means to be a Black Man in our homes, communities and abroad.. Yet, Black men make up less than 2% of U.S. public school teachers, underscoring the critical need for continued focus on recruiting and retaining Black male educators.
